Grass is not always greener!

It is so true what people say............'The grass is not always greener on the other side' or 'Better the devil you know than the devil you don't'.

This is quite true for my situation at the moment. That is right, I am not happy at my job however even though I am having a rant about it, I am doing something about it as well.

I left my last contract as I felt I needed to move on, as I'd been there for 18 months as a contractor, I didn't want to become stale and felt I needed to spread my wings and learn some new stuff. Don't get me wrong I loved working there, the people were great and the work was challenging most of the time.

I would have to admit that it was probably not my best decision. However a decision I must live with and learn from.

Currently where I am, the environment is simply dull and boring. My personality feels like it has been put in a box and placed on a shelf. Clearly those who know me would understand that is clearly not me!

The people I do have little interaction with are lovely, but unfortunately the work is boring and I am not doing what I love........changing things! I am not built to look at spreadsheets and pick apart data. That is definitely more for a data analyst. Respect to the Data analyst, I have no idea how you do it everyday.

One simply has no idea how good you have it until you no longer have it. I guess that can apply to most areas of one's life! In my case I am not someone that just sits back, and waits for things to happen. I create the change that I need.

So here to happy job hunting for me in one of the most difficult times in our economy within the UK!!

Till next time....
Smooches
xx
