Seeing today is the last day of the year 2011 it is only right that I sum up my year that was!
2011 has been interesting to say the least.............many ups and also some downs. I know that with each year I become a stronger person, I learn a lot about myself and people around me and I am very grateful and thankful for all that I have achieved, experienced and endured.
So for my own pleasure this is what 2011 looked and felt for me......................................................................
* Travelled to Athens, Australia, Edinburgh, Bologna, Florence, The Algarve (Portugal), Naples, Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Capri, Frankfurt, Bamberg, Bestival (Isle of Wight), and Munich (Opening Weekend Oktoberfest).
* Joined Thames Turbo Triathlon Club (love this club)
* Completed 5 Triathlons of varied Sprint distances.....largest one this year was (800m/30km/7.5km)
* Completed several runs of varied distances 5km and 10km
* Changed jobs, moved from City job to Canary Wharf (still questioning the move lol)
* Suffered a broken heart by the Fireman............but also learnt that I can love again
* Renewed my lease at my place....taking it two years in Richmond. Nice to have stability.
* Spent my Christmas volunteering for Crisis for Christmas, Rough Sleepers Centre. The most rewarding Christmas ever
* Enjoyed watching dear friends get married Italy, watching the joy of friends who found out they are going to parents with their first born
* Becoming the godmother to my first nephew. So now I am the godmother to my first nephew and also my first niece. Very lucky lady indeed.
2011 has been a year of transition for me as well. I leave the early 30's behind me with no regrets, but with a lot of grace, laughter, lessons learnt and wisdom gained and head for 2012!
To all my family and friends, thank you for being my support network and always speaking the truth to me. I admire and respect each and every one of your and look forward to sharing more moments, memories, laughter and joy in many years to come!
