My 35th Birthday Celebration - Vintage Mad Men Style

15 days later and I finally make the time to post about my birthday! Wow what a night.

So the dress........the initial dress that I purchased from Singapore arrived and it didn't fit and it didn't look very nice either so then I went into a little panic as my party was only 2 days away by that stage. On my way to personal training the Thursday before my party, I popped into Joy a shop near where I live and managed to find the perfect dress. Mad men style and fit me like a glove and it was a size 8, so of course I was over the moon. That was the dress sorted, crisis averted.

The day started off well, I trained in the morning as usual and then got myself ready to go to the Powder Room (http://www.thepowderpuffgirls.com/) to get my hair and make up done. It was so lovely being pampered and also being transformed. I truly do love the style of the 50's. So elegant and classy, right up my street.

With my hair and make up and also being in the city, I did have to hang around for a couple of for the time to go by as there no point returning home only to have to come, so the girls at the Powder Room were kind enough to let me get ready in their dressing rooms. If you ever want to get glamed up 50's style I would highly recommend this place.

So this is the finished product:

I have to say for a 35 year old, I was feeling very glamorous.

My friends started to arrive at the restaurant from 6.30pm onwards, I was so impressed to see that they had all made an effort to get into theme and let me tell you, they all looked absolutely amazing.

We started with champagne on arrival and as soon as everyone had arrived we were moved into our room for dinner.

We had the most amazing 3 course meal and of course we had my birthday cake.

It was amazing to sit down with my closest friends in London whom I hold dear and near to me and enjoy a lovely meal, wine, and great conversation.

At the end of the dinner I had arranged for all us to go to Maggies. This is a members only nightclub in Chelsea, that played 80's music and where we danced all night long. Such a great fun evening.

I thank all my friends of my making my 35th birthday special and for the best present in the world ever £450 to spend at Sigma Sport - triathlon shop. SO EXCITED!!!

I've already ordered areobars, a new saddle and I am going to get new triathlon shoes and if there is money left maybe a new trisuit,

Till my next shindig, thanks for ready.
