Family visit 3rd Sept - 26th Sept 2012

After nearly 5 years of living in the UK, my mum and sister finally arrived in London to visit me. I have never had anyone visit me from Australia before so waiting at the airport was most exciting. It is amazing the emotions that are generated at the airport, arrivals you are excited and departures you are sad.

Well on this occasion I was most happy. I waited eagerly and patiently for my family to come through the gates. As soon as I saw my mum I was completely overwhelmed and then I saw my sister, I was fortunate not to have tears running down my face, as that would have been embarrassing lol. It was so great to finally see them 18 months later. I don't think I realise sometimes how much time goes by in between family visits.

My mum and sister (family) stayed with me in London on and off during their 4 week stay. During their time they were here they travelled to Prague, Brugge, Brussels, Krakow, Paris and the Amalfi Coast.

We went to Paris and the Amalfi Coast together, it was so much fun. Of course we had our typical spits but they didn't last for long. I've been to the Amalfi Coast before (last year) and I loved it so much I really wanted to show my mum and sister.

The weather was amazing, I got to sun bake on the sun loungers, we visited and stay in Amalfi, Positano, Capri and Sorrento before heading back to Naples for one night so we could fly back to London. The trip was amazing, and I really enjoyed my family being able to come and stay.

When taking my sister and mum back to the airport, I made a promise that I would go home for Christmas. My first Christmas with my family in 5 years since moving to London. Gee that is a long time.
