You know when you haven't written for so long and so much as happened and you want to write everything but afraid that you will write a massive post, people will get bored and then stop reading................well that's how I am feeling right now. I have so much to update you all on, I have decided I will write several short posts! This way it keeps you all engaged and I don't bore you all. :)
So first up, training! How is it all coming along! Well as you remember I took up a Novice 70.3 training plan and everything has been going fine except for the odd cold which has occurred several times in the last 12 weeks.
Overall the training is going very well. Since Nov 2012 to current date I have gone from 72.9kgs (160 pounds) to 65kgs (143 pounds) (this is up to end of March)
I made one promise at the beginning of the year to myself and that was simply to be consistent with my training and that is exactly what I have done. To anyone who is looking for inspiration or simply a kick up the bum, just be consistent in your training. Dont worry about doing huge distances or long hours at the gym to start off with, just get out there each day and make it a habit. Everything will change and you will see the results, just like I have.
My journey is still going and you will see this if you continue to read my blog over the coming months. Very busy race season and a long journey to my debut at Ironman Melbourne in March next year. Come along for the ride and even a small triathlon along the way, if you have never done one before. Once you do one, you will be on the wagon for sure :)
So quick wrap up, I am will be heading into Week 13 on Monday of next week. This weekend no training as I am working all weekend and I am getting tested on Monday evening with my coach. I'll explain more about my coach etc in the next post.
