No technology after 9pm........

Catchy title huh.....but could you do it?.............no technology after 9pm!


Why would I even think of doing such a thing, especially in this day and age?? I have found myself more and more increasingly addicted to social media. Now don't get me wrong, I love it, it allows me to communicate to the virtual world all my thoughts, it allows me to communicate with my family and friends all over the world, it has allowed me to obtain my sponsors for my Ironman, make some amazing friends through my hobby triathlon and much much more BUT it is also consuming a lot of my time to the detriment of many other areas in my life......like sleep, reading, pure relaxing time, and simply doing other things.

So today, I have decided to try and break this habit and get some more time back in my life. I call it the #notechnologyafter9pm project! I even created a #Twitter account today to hold myself accountable @notechafter9pm

The rules are simple
1. I cannot actively access any technology after 9pm UK time. This includes my phone (unless in an absolute emergency), laptop, Internet, and TV
2. I can use the Yoga app on my phone however as #pocketyoga is brilliant and will be part of my relaxation
3. I can answer my phone if someone rings me

Basically what I am hoping to achieve is that I will finish several books that I started but then got carried away by the Internet and did not finish, be more relaxed, get more sleep which I desperately need whilst I train for my Ironman and simply feel better overall.

Let the project begin!
