It's the final countdown!

With 75 days left till Ironman Melbourne, the next 7 weeks my life will be so exciting (I'm being sarcastic, lol)..... it will mainly consist on long training week's, work which will be more of a break from training and studying another subject of my Bachelor of Business degree. (Whilst thinking of my degree, I wouldn't mind changing it to a Sports degree but that's another story/post.)

There will be no time for social engagements etc, I am now at the business end of my training. The last 12 months of racing and building base fitness is slowly coming to fruition. I am feeling stronger, and definitely faster than I ever been before (I am not fast like many athletes that I am surrounded by, but definitely faster for me, and that is what matters.)

I have a swim camp at Club La Santa coming up from the 24th January with Swim for Tri (@Swimfortri). I will also be using this time to regularly swim in the ocean and ride long on the road with wind. Something which I have not been able to do in London due to severe weather conditions and not prepared to risk injury so close to race day.

My trip to Melbourne starts on Friday 28th February. I will leave London in the evening after work and head home. I cannot wait to hug my mummy, see my family and friends. I will be living with my cousin, Judy, the legend who has a place in South Melbourne right near all my training grounds. My office for work is within walking distance, as is the bay, Beach Road, Albert Park Lake, The Tan, and Melbourne Sports and Aquatic centre where I can swim daily in a 50m pool either indoors or outdoors!

So my friends, this is where we are at!

Let the final weeks commence.

Tarsh :)
