The results of the ballot were announced this week and I am pleased to say that I got a place.
Prudential Ride London 100 only has 24,000 places and only started last year, so to be successful for a place after 80,000 people applied for the second year running I am stoked.
Last year I wasn't as strong as I am now, I completed it in 6:41 with lots of stops. This year I plan to go 6hrs with no stops, especially as when I do this race this year, I will also have completed (fingers crossed) both my Iron distances races, Melbourne (March) and Roth (July).
Congratulations to others who got a place and commiserations to those who missed out. It's luck of the draw.
Happy training!
