It's been 2 weeks since the Ironman and what a busy and eventful two weeks it has been.
Catching up with friends and family has been great but blimey it's exhausting, all whilst working and attempting to do the recovery training.
A lot of you have asked how has the body come up since the race, and surprisingly pretty good, however for those of us who are 1st timers at Ironman, never underestimate the power and need for recovery.
My recovery training has been planned by my professional coach, Toby Smithson (@coachtobydotcom ) and it's pretty much all Z1 stuff
Nothing fast and furious. Some sessions I've missed due to being tired, all the swimming is easy and technique focused.
Last Friday, my contract ended early which means my last week in Melbourne I can focus on getting my training back on track, catch up with friends and actually have a bit of a holiday.
Next week I head to Thailand, to stay at Thanyapura where I'll catch up with some of the MaccaX team and of course see Chris Macca McCormack. I'm looking forward to that, especially being in the heat and lying by the pool.
I will definitely blog from there and give you guys my view of the place, obviously I won't sugar coat anything.
Anyway this is a short post just bringing everything up to date, following posts will be about upcoming races etc.
Till next time
Smooches xx
